Local Politics

SNP WRONG AGAIN

It is not surprising to anyone who follows the SNP and their ridiculous claims and outright mistruths that they have got it wrong yet again. On their webpage the local SNP have an article about the Seedhill Playing fields suggesting that the local Candidate Mr Doig (their perennial candidate) is angry about the new sports centre being built on the Seedhill Playing fields, reason because the low paid will not be able to use it.
Why is this strange? Because there is no new sports centre being put on the Seedhill Playing fields the council are proposing to upgrade the parks and build a new pavilion but no new sports centre. The sports centre that he refers to could be the upgrading of the Lagoon leisure centre but who knows! It is also just as likely that Mr Doig doesn't have a scooby doo about Renfrewshire! Or Seedhill!

Local Government Boundary Commission

The local government boundary commission for Scotland (long title I know) have recently reported their final recommendations to ministers and their suggestions mean the 'carving' up of Renfrewshire's existing wards. From the looks of things there is not one ward in Renfrewshire which is not affected, or intact.

Cooking Skills

Burnt? Never!!!

Well for those who know me it will come as no surprise that I cannot cook to save myself, I think the best thing I made in Home Ecc in school was the cheesy potatoes and EVERYONE can make them!! (See below for the recipe! LOL) My tablet turned out like fudge, my fudge like sludge!

The one thing I make VERY well is Mexican food, I LOVE Mexican food and my Fajitas are FAB even if I do say so my self! I was spoiled you see my ex boyfriend was an amazing cook he made me chicken tikka masala from scratch from my birthday! And had only learned that day how to make it, made me sick! Not the food just the fact that he can pick up a recipe cook and it turns out the way it is meant to!

Recently my big sister gave me the recipe for a chicken pesto pasta, I was not sure as I am funny about making new dishes, that I am a lazy cook, if it takes over half and hour of standing at the cooker I get bored and end up watching TV! Anyway chicken pesto, I made it tonight and it is Fantastic!

Firstly dice the chicken, and brown it, pour in the jar of pesto and let it sizzle (reduce what ever!) for about five minutes then add a tub of double cream mix and wait another five minutes then serve on a bed of pasta! Dead easy and absolutely fantastic! Oh yeah and I used two chicken breasts and a small jar of pesto and similarly a small tub of double cream. It usually takes around fifteen minutes and seriously tastes great!

Other recipe's of note are to get a chicken breast put it on a piece of tin foil, pre heat oven to 180 degrees and then season with fajita seasoning ( or what ever you like) some black pepper, cover it and stick it in the oven for about half an hour (checking by piercing to make sure it is cooked) and then serve with rice and refried beans.

And just so I can help out more cheesy potatoes, boil and mash/ cream as many potatoes as you like, add cheese, mix then put into an oven dish, add cheese onto the top (I add paprika here as well on top but you don't have to) stick in the oven for twenty minutes at 180 or until the cheese is golden brown on top and then serve!
